1. Imagine you are cutting vegetables for a salad and accidentally cut your finger (not badly but enough so it begins to bleed). Describe the non-specific defense that your body mounts to ward off the nasty pathogens (bacteria and viruses) that now have access to your internal environment and would love to set up shop in your body and reproduce wildly.
2. What is an antibody? Describe the different parts and how it functions.
3. Compare and contrast Humoral (Antibody-Mediated) Immunity and Cell-Mediated Immunity.
4. Explain how urine is produced. Follow the movement of fluid through the nephron beginning with the fluid in the glomerulus and ending with the urine at the bottom of the collecting duct.
